One year later, in the month of August 2011 He was formally presented by President Leonel Fernandez and his cabinet project that after meeting decided to give full support to this important work, who understood instantly that would impact positively the slowing economy of Puerto Plata and Cibao.

Jeffrey Rannik noted that the Amber Cove terminal was executed in record time, because most ports are built are developed in a time ranging from eight to ten years and it only took five years from concept or idea to opening day.
